William H. “Bill” Derrickson, age 84, of Seaford died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Coastal Hospice At The Lake in Salisbury. He was born in Millville and was the son of the late Handy and Ethelyn (Hudson) Derrickson.

Bill retired after 40 years from DuPont Co., Seaford Plant as a production planner. He was a member of Millville United Methodist Church in Millville and was an associate member at St. John United Methodist Church in Seaford.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia H. “Pat” Derrickson of Seaford; two sons, Jody Derrickson of Clarksburg, WVA and Jed Derrickson and his wife Teresa of Millville; two grandchildren, Alex Derrickson and his wife, Sommer and Tedi Derrickson.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Derrickson and a daughter-in-law, Vanessa Derrickson.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 at St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville with Pastor Donald Schell officiating.
