Paul G. Evans, age 95, of Salisbury died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Salisbury Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. He was born in Roxana and was the son of the late Cleveland and Anna (Hastings) Evans.
Paul was a police officer with the Salisbury Police Dept. for 28 years, retiring in 1979 as a Captain. He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church in Salisbury and the Sonshine Club at Faith Communtiy Church in Salisbury. He also attended Emmaunel Wesleyan Church in Salisbury.
He is survived by two daughters, Geraldle E. Ewell and her husband Gary of Selbyville and Paulette E. Baker and her husband Joseph of Salisbury; a brother, Merrill Evans of Whaleyville; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie E. Evans in 2003; two brothers, Harold Evans and Rodman Evans and two sisters, Elise Gray and Grace Kushela.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 28 at 12 noon at Bishopville Cemetery in Bishopville with Rev. Tom Bunting officiating.
