Wilson S. LeKites, age 72, of Selbyville died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was the son of late LeRoy L. and Margaret Ruth (Remalay) LeKites.
He was a salesman for Townsends Poultry (now Mountaire) in Millsboro retiring after 25 years. After retirement he worked for H & R Block during tax season. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Selbyville and a former member and past president of the Selbyville Lions Club. Wilson was also instrumental in starting the Lower Sussex Little League program at the Pyle Center in Roxana.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn R. LeKites; two sons, Brian W. LeKites of Selbyville and Eric H. LeKites of Portland, OR; one daughter, Karen L. Hockman and her husband Chad of Ocean View and one brother, LeRoy L. LeKites and his wife Gail of Selbyville.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29 at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with Rev. Dr. James Van Der Wall officiating. Friends may call an hour before the service.
